Friday, June 14

Perot Theatre. Special PREMIERE showing of ‘The Legend of Boggy Creek’ at the Perot Theatre followed by a Q&A Forum hosted by Lyle Blackburn, featuring many of the film’s original participants, and a Meet ‘n Greet/Photo Op! Tickets are LIMITED; don’t miss this ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME EVENT!

2. Neil McCoy Live at Scottie’s Grill
Saturday, June 8

This Longview, Texan entertainer brings his feel good sound and meaningful ballads to Texarkana. 18+ only!

3. Movies in the Park & Splash Pad Day
Thursdays, June 6 & 13

Aquaman AND Splash Pad Day on June 13; Ralph Breaks the Internet on June 13. Movies at sunset in Spring Lake Park. Bring your own blanket or seating. Concession stand will be open. Presented by City of Texarkana, TX Parks and Recreation with Clayton Homes. For more info, call (903) 798-3978.

WFA throws a Summer Bash at the Regional Arts Center

The community is invited to celebrate TRAHC’s 41st Birthday! Enjoy live music by 2 Pianos musicians Paul Whitt and Josh Lawrence, lots of fun food and a Tito’s Tiki Bar. 7 p.m., Regional Arts Center. 

5. June 7-9
Better Barrel Racing Tour Benefiting Runnin’ WJ Ranch

10 a.m. Friday, 8 a.m. Saturday & Sunday at Four States Fairgrounds. The Runnin WJ Benefit Barrel Race is an annual divisional race that benefits the Runnin WJ Therapeutic Riding Center. Races are BBR Approved.

1894 Trade Days and Market

Visit Texarkana’s most unique shopping experience with local vendors at the historic landmark the 1894 City Market in the arts and historic district of Downtown Texarkana! Vendor booths are open to arts, crafts, pickers, farmer’s markets, open air markets, rummage sellers, churches, schools, and other social groups.

7. Saturday, June 8
Cajun Culture at Texarkana Farmers’ Market

7 p.m. An evening celebration of all things Cajun! Come out to the Evening Market and shop the local vendors, sample the locally-made Cajun cuisine, enjoy live music; and learn about the history of this rich, diverse, and delicious culture! For more information please call 903-798-3901.

First Annual Texarkana Fallen Bikers Memorial Wall Three Day Rally

Local nonprofit, Texarkana Fallen Bikers Memorial Wall will be celebrating their mission of honoring the fallen of the biker community with their first annual TFBWM Rally. 9-11 a.m., free breakfast; 11 a.m., biker service.

10. Tuesday, June 11
Joint City Meeting with Texarkana AR and TX Mayors and City Leaders 

3 p.m. Discussion of the state of the State Line Corridor: improving the entrance to Texarkana. Hosted by the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce at the AR-TX Council of Governments Building. Public is welcome!

  • It’s not too late for the kids to register for Summer Reading Club at the Texarkana Public Library. For ages 1-16. Kids – get your log book, track the hours you rack up reading this summer and enjoy the perks and fun of all the library has to offer, including a special party for those who make their marks!  
  • Klondike Academy Summer Workshops for Kids. Mondays-Thursdays – times and ages vary by class. Classes available from dance to art; comic book to mystery writing.
  • Ooh La La Luau – Ballet & Tap Summer Camp at Texarkana Dance Academy.
