6. 4th Annual Downtown Tinkertown
Saturday, October 24

Discovery Place’s 4th Annual Downtown TinkerTown is just around the corner. This year things will be a little different, we’re going digital! We believe this is the best way to keep everyone safe.

Downtown TinkerTown will be on October 24th and it will be an all-day event. Throughout the day we will be posting videos of different crafts from your kit being done. These videos will be posted on the Discovery Place Facebook Page. If you miss a video don’t worry they’ll still be up for you to watch later. Learn more!

7. Movie Mash at the Perot Theatre
Saturday, October 24

Get your tickets now for Movie Mash – showing the family friendly “Coco” matinee movie and the thriller “The Shining” at night! $5 per showing for “Coco” and $8 for “The Shining”.

8. The Talking Dead Cemetery Tour
Saturday, October 24

The dead speak! Join TMS for a guided tour of the State Line Cemetery complex, including the primary cemetery, the Masonic Section, the African-American section, Mt. Sinai Memorial Garden, and Woodlawn Cemetery. Guests will be visited along the tour route by those buried at the cemetery as they share their stories. This is an evening tour and guests should dress for the weather. Tickets must be purchased in advance! There will be no parking inside the cemetery during the tour, so call for directions to the closest parking. For more information, please call 903-793-4831. Tickets on sale now! 9. Hunters Education Course at Texarkana College
Saturday, October 24

This Texas Parks & Wildlife course covers the core standards in firearm, hunting and outdoor safety, hunting responsibilities, and wildlife conservation. Every hunter in Texas (including out-of-state hunters) born on or after Sept. 2, 1971, must successfully complete hunter education. Minimum age for certification is 9 years and cost is $15. 10. Trunk or Treat at Trinity
Sunday, October 25

Join us for Trunk or Treat at Trinity Heights Baptist Church on October 25, from 5pm-7pm. We encourage you to dress up in family-friendly costumes and enjoy all 50 trunks provided by our church family. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our community.
 

11. Redbone All-Star Spaghetti Cook-Off
Sunday, October 25

Contestants begin set-up and cooking at 11:00am and customer serving starts at 1:00am. Judging and awards at 3:00pm. There will be a $5 fee per person to sample the spaghetti. Learn more!
