Finally – in safe gatherings – relishing every word of celebration and every note of special music which will be sung and played in our community. Check out the various programs being offered in the Texarkana Gazette’s Saturday church section, or by googling your chosen house of worship. Sing out.

3. Save Jane
Thursday, April 1
On April 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m., local officials, volunteers, and community members will join the Texarkana Children’s Advocacy Center and CASA for Children Texarkana in taking a stand against child abuse. This online event will be streamed live on both CASA and CAC’s Facebook pages. Learn more here.

5. Mrs. Nancy’s Corner

7. ARK-LA-TEX Challenge
Saturday, April 3
Mark your calendars! The Ark-La-Tex Challenge for 2021 is scheduled for Saturday, April 3rd. There will be some slight modifications due to COVID-19, such as no designated launch, bottled water/drinks only at rest stops, and sacked lunch. Check out our website for more details.

9. The Talking Dead: Hillcrest Cemetery
Saturday, April 3
Join the Texarkana Museums System for a guided tour of Hillcrest Cemetery, final resting place of some of Texarkana’s most famous past residents. Guests will be visited along the tour route by those buried at the cemetery, each person sharing their unique story of Texarkana’s past. This is an evening tour and guests should dress for the weather. Tickets must be purchased in advance! There will be no parking inside the cemetery during the tour, so call 903-793-4831 for directions to the closest parking area.
