1. Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot
Thursday, November 26

This year is a Virtual 5K. Your choice of treadmill, running track, walking, however and wherever you want to do our Trot this year.  Long sleeve t-shirts and participant medals given.  Limited number, sign up early!
 

2. Black Friday Business Expo
November 27 – 28

Black Friday the biggest shopping day of the year, come support local small businesses. Get your holiday shopping done in one place! Learn more. 
 

3. Texarkana Texas Sportsman’s Gun & Knife Exposition
November 27-29
We are very excited to announce that we are going to be putting on the Texarkana Texas Sportsman’s Gun & Knife Exposition on Black Friday Weekend. It will be a 200 hundred table show taking place over three days. We will be open to the public Friday 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Learn more!

6. Mental Health Awareness Mini-Series
Tuesday, December 1

Texas A&M University-Texarkana’s Office of Extended Education and Community Development and the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Bowie County Leadership Advisory Board are partnering to present a free online mental health awareness mini-series in November and December. The series of programs is designed to help people recognize and help those who may be in the early stages of developing a mental health problem or are in the midst of a mental health crisis. Learn more!
 

7. Mrs. Nancy’s Corner – Texarkana Public Library
Friday, December 4

On the first Friday of every month Mrs. Nancy will have a book talk about new books, her favorite books, and classic books. She will also have special book talks that may just pop up. Learn more!

9. Polar Express Pajama Night
Saturday, December 4

Doors open at 6:00pm and cost is $5.00 each person. Come in your pajamas, bring a blanket to sit on and have your Polar Express ticket stamped by our very own conductor. There will be the largest hot chocolate bar you have ever seen, and you will get a chance to write Santa a letter then enjoy the movie. Reservations are not required but preferred. 10. Downtown Christmas Parade
Celebrate the holidays with “A Tale of Two Cities”, Main Street Texarkana’s 36th Annual DRIVE-THROUGH Christmas Parade. Parade floats will be parked for parade-goers to drive past and enjoy from the safety of their own vehicles. Check out the lights and decorated windows on Broad Street.
