Introducing our brand new class Beginner’s Guitar! This class will be a hands-on environment that will explore the basic construction and history of the guitar, care and maintenance of the instrument, basic musical theory, basic design and map of the fretboard, introductory terminology, notes, and basic scale. 7. The Jamison Building: Looking Back at 1971
Saturday, February 6 
A viewing of “Jamison Building: History of an African-American Landmark” followed by a discussion on the historical significance of the Jamison Building with Cylestine Thornton and 1971 with Dr. Denzer Burke.

Mississippi-born Dr. Garling Urih Jamison, Sr., (1881-1951) opened this structure in 1930 as Texarkana’s first black business and professional office building. Designed by the Texarkana architectural firm of Witt, Seibert, and Halsey, it features an interesting and decorative use of brick. The Jamison Building became a center of economic, cultural, and social life in the city’s black community and has remained an important local landmark. Recorded Texas Historic Landmark – 1983 

8. Mrs. Nancy’s Corner

Elizabeth McKinley and Fay J’s Winery present the Complete Works of Elizabeth McKinley. Come enjoy a night of wine, art, and a live performance by Elizabeth herself. 11. State Bank presents Blue Jeans and Bling 2021
Saturday, February 6
Join us for the biggest social event of the year! All proceeds go towards awarding teacher grants to Atlanta Texas ISD. Food, drinks, auction, and live music will be a great start to a much needed new year!
